Phase-Changer 18: Olive Oil Processing Plant |
This
Phase-Changer 18 supplies the 3 phase power to operate an
olive processing plant. This is an on-farm operation, and
is fed from a SWER (Single Wire Earth Return) single phase
utility power-line. The machine itself has many components
& motors including a large centrifuge motor for oil separation. |
PC11:
Woodworking Machines
 |
A very common application. Woodworking
machinery. In this case a large panel saw,
an edge- sander and a dust extraction system
are powered by a Phase-Changer 11. And all from a 240V single
phase supply. All woodworkig machines can be powered by a Phase-Changer, including
combination machines. |
PC8:
Metal Fabrication and Engineering Workshop
 |
This
PC8 operates a MIG Welder, a folder, a large guillotine and
a punch & shear machine. This is a very remote business,
a long long way from any 3 phase power lines .A second converter,
a PC11, is now being supplied to power the extraction fans
on a paint spray booth. |
PC
3 - Ice cream mixer and compressor
 |
Phase-Changer
3 used to power 3 phase refrigeration compressor and icecream
maker in vendors
van. This allows operation from a 240V single phase supply
which is often available at events & venues. |
2
X PC8's Fruit Packing & Cool Room
 |
These
2 units supply the 3 phase required in a stone fruit packing
shed. One unit runs the entire grading machine (shown) which
has many motors. The second unit powers the 10HP cool room
and is fitted with the auto-start option, ensuring it only
runs when required. |
Computerized
Knitting Machine PC8 with optional Neutral Balancing Transformer
 |
The
German manufacturer of this very expensive knitting machine
said "it cannot be done". 3 phase operating voltages
required are very precise. But this combination of our PC8
with the optional neutral balancing transformer works really
well & all from a 240V supply! |
Phase-Changer
30: Dairy Farm Refrigeration and Circulation Pumps
 |
This Phase-Changer 30 supplies 3 phase power to
a large chiller (2 X 11KW internal 'can' compressors) and numerous three
phase pumps. It is fitted with the remote start option,
so it only runs when required. |
PC8:
Welder and Punch & Shear
 |
When
the customer purchased this PC8, we did not know he was planning
on buying a big 440Amp MIG welder. When we visited and took
this photo, with a smile, he admitted, he has run it a full
power "just to see if it worked". Normally we'd
recommend a PC11 for a welder this big. PC8 is fine to about
350A max. |
