Phase Change Converters originated in Australia as a designer and manufacturer of 3 phase power converters. In Australia, we are based in the small township of Longwarry, 100km east of Melbourne and do understand 'first-hand' the power problems often experienced outside the major cities where 3 phase power is often not available or is expensive to connect.

Having gained real world application experience in the manufacturing and the application of 'traditional' rotary converters and also discovering the limitations of other converters with 'hi-tech' controllers, led us to investing in the development of a smarter, more capable Australian designed and manufactured microprocessor based controller. The controller is the 'heart' of the converter, and plays a vital role in the overall performance and capability of the finished power converter.

Establishing a small team of electrical, microprocessor and power electronics specialists, the ideas and theory of this new controller, became a reality. Having destroyed a significant amount of electronic parts in the early experimental process, the first of the working prototypes was developed. This was then field tested for performance and reliability. Once proven, this new controller formed the basis of the Phase-Changer converter.

We believe the Phase-Changer range of converters offers a unique and reliable high performance 3 phase power converter at a realistic price. While the original business has been built in the Australian domestic market, we have been keen to offer this technology to other parts of the world.

In China, Phase Changers are being manufactured and sold within China under a technology licensing agreement with Ningbo Zhongce E.T Electronics Co Ltd, a major manufacturer of electrical equipment based in Ningbo.

In Australia, parallel manufacturing of converters has and will continue. This is to ensure quality standards are comparable and on-going product development and improvements are never neglected. Regular visits to the Chinese operation from Australia has become a part of our normal routine.

With the factory in China, we can manufacture in volume at very good prices. Consequently we are now seeking distributors in many other countries.
